Prism2 Wireless on FC2?

Just upgraded to FC2.

Good news: unlike FC1, pcmcia detects my wireless card at boot.
"cardctl ident" yields:
Socket 0:
  product info: "The Linksys Group, Inc.", "Instant Wireless Network PC 
Card", "ISL37300P", "RevA"
  manfid: 0x0274, 0x1612
  function: 6 (network)
Socket 1:
  no product info available

Bad news: wlan0 doesn't find the prism2 driver when I plug in my card. 
 From /var/log/messages:
May 29 14:33:05 Sacajawea cardmgr[1487]: executing: 'modprobe prism2_cs 
2>&1'
May 29 14:33:05 Sacajawea cardmgr[1487]: + FATAL: Module prism2_cs not 
found.

I thought I recalled some discussion that the orinoco_cs driver should 
work for this card, but I can't figure out where to change the driver.
Changing the "alias wlan0 prism2_cs" line in /etc/modprobe.conf causes 
my card to no longer be detected at boot (although I don't see any 
likely errors in dmesg or /var/log/messages).

On FC1 I had to use the prism2 rpms from 
http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/ to get pcmcia + wireless working.

Since FC2 seems to have my pcmcia working without any tinkering, I hoped 
I could get my wireless up by changing some config files.

Does anyone know how I can get my wireless up and running?

I'm on my wireless laptop now, at the patio table in the backyard. :) I 
use an Orinoco gold card. If it helps, here's the ouput of lsmod ...

You could try:

remove wireless card
use system-config-network to remove the configuration for the card
make sure there are no alias lines for your card in /etc/modprobe.conf
reboot with wireless card out to ensure it's modules are not loaded
insert wireless card
configure with system-config-network

Great suggestion. This got me headed down the right path, but I needed 
to do a couple extra things to get up and running.

For any other folks in my situation (upgraded from FC1 to FC2, having 
used prism2 rpms from http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us on FC1), 
here's what worked for me:
1. Boot my laptop with wireless card removed
2. Comment out "alias wlan0 prism2_cs" entries in /etc/modprobe.conf and 
/etc/modules.conf
3. Delete wireless card entries from system-config-network
4. Remove the prism2 rpms from my system
    4a. rpm -qa | grep wlan
    4b. rpm -e kernel-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre14 kernel-wlan-ng-pcmcia 
kernel-wlan-ng-modules-fc1.1.2174-0.2.1-pre14 
kernel-wlan-ng-modules-fc1.1.2188-0.2.1-pre14
5. Reboot
6. Once logged in, bring up a tail on /var/log/messages ("tail -f 
/var/log/messages")
7. Insert wireless card & verify the card is detected (should see a line 
show up in /var/log/messages like "May 30 13:20:18 hostname 
cardmgr[2584]: socket 0: Linksys WPC11 11Mbps 802.11b WLAN Card")
8. start system-config-network and create a new wireless device of type 
orinoco_cs. Configure the device as appropriate for your network.
9. Reboot
10. Enjoy your wireless

Are you sure this is a Prism2 card?  I thought Linksys switched to
Broadcom for their wireless cards.  (Which have no drivers unless you
use the Windows compatibility module hack.)

If I can find where I put my Linksys card, i will compare version id. 
Mine is a Prism2.  It is also real old.  (It is one of the old 76mw
cards.)

They're using Broadcom for their 802.11g cards. Older WPC11 cards used 
Prism2/2.5/3. Vers 4 of their WPC11 uses realtek[1].
