Run....
rpmrebuild -ep google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
Which will bring up an editor, delete the line
%dir %attr(0755, root, root) "/usr/bin"
save and quit and a new rpm will be written that can be installed.
you could, alternatively, extract a cpio archive from the RPM and
manually drop its contents into the right places.
