Requrest for editing fedora.css
by Makoto Mizukami
Hello,
I'm translator of fedoraproject.org website.
During translating, I realized that the reason why "Install DVD" in Japanese split into 2 rows is because of "width" parameter in "fedora.css".
This is from fedora.css, line 394-399.
-----
.downloadbox li
{
width: 26ex;
float: left;
padding: 0 0 2ex;
}
-----
According my test, when I set "width" 30ex, Japanese "Inatall DVD" was displayed in a row.
And I also found that same thing("Install DVD" in 2 rows) happens in the other languages, example French.
I strongly desire to set this "witdh" parameter to the number larger than 26.
Please consider it.
Thanks a lot,
Makoto Mizukami

known bugs
by jan sekal
Hello,
I installed fedora 8, started add/remove software, and the only messagebox I get is "insert fedora CD 1". I have no CD 1 and I am not going to have any (and the package manager does not start).
On the web page http://fedoraproject.org/ should be besides docs, wiki etc. links also a link - well "known bugs and workaround". Users could then easily handle the problem.
Since it is not the case, the only thing I can do is to delete fedora and use something better.
I hope this will improve some time...
Have much energy to improving Fedora.

tips and tricks
by jan sekal
Yes, and there should be another item called tips and tricks, with link to e.g. http://www.gagme.com/greg/linux/f8-tips.php!
Thanks, Jan
By the way, the fedora packager can be avoided as follows:
yum install smart
yum install smart-gui
yum install smart-update
smart --gui

HI, i'm sorry to be a nuisance, but i really cant figure out where the fedora 7 downloads are, if i follow the links, it leads to a 'path' saying /6, can i have a link for downloading fedora 7, which states something bizarre like, 'download fedora 7 iso here' ?
Many Thanks
