#91: fedorahosted could use a redesign

Some things I noticed while walking some non-Fedora people through getting
connected on fedorahosted:
* need to point people from fedorahosted to
admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/ for signing up for a new account
* Not obvious to people that they don't need to sign the FPCA to
contribute on hosted (although that's a project-by-projcet setting)
* http://fedorahosted.org/ should give an overview of what fedorahosted is
rather than a list of projects so that people can find out that anyone can
put upstream code there.

#145: Remove redirect rule to Design and Electronic-Lab Spins

For a better maintaing of the spins pages we should remove the actual
redirect rules for the Design and Electronic-Lab Spin. That's from the
Infra side, no hurry until F18 will be released.

#112: improve docs integration

We still have some hard links to the docs.fpo websites, with the language
code hard written.
sometimes available in the POT. it should not be there… and we should
remap the language code if exists (like in the get-prerelease page).
If we link to a non translated doc, we just go to the index in that
language, and not to the en-US version. Is it ok?
In any case, we need to be consistent, some code has to change.

#25: Firefox font preferences for arabic are not respected on fedoraproject.org

Default arabic font is ugly, so most users change it in firefox. But in
fedoraproject.org, such settings isn't respected.
If I put lang="ar" in <html> tag, then the page is rendered according to
firfox font preferences.
There should be a dynamic way to do this, but I am not an HTML expert.

Currently we import the globalvar.py file where variable are defined. That
could be clever using a configuration file.
We started with config.py at commit id 440f60c48df but it was not packaged
at that time.
Consider packaging it or use an other module.

In the fedoraproject index, we have some quotes.
Robyn proposed her to dig and give us new ones. Any update?
Moreover, Robyn it still shows you only as a simple community member… If
you need any update, tell us please

#141: Auto-hide the download Alpha button after few days

It would be great to hide the download Alpha Now button on the home page
after few days (2 weeks?) once released. The Alpha gets outdated really
fast.
Related to BZ#869573
There is css fix on the git history (319f0c8 cb760b2 846f993 0f1fd78)
Same would be fine for the News bar for Release day.
No need to take care about this NOW, a month before F19-Alpha is fine.

#88: Add link to signature just next to link to installation media

-------------------------+------------------------
Current web site with link to installation media
(https://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora or https://fedoraproject.org/en
/get-fedora-options) does not provide cryptographic signatures necessary
to verify integrity.
There is only a link ''Verify Download'' six sections underneath which is
to far.
I propose following improvement:
Put link to signature right next to shiny Download links. If the datails
about size are important enough, a link to signature could be there too.
Like:
{{{
Download Now!
605MB, ISO format image for Intel-compatible PCs (32-bit), signature
}}}
Where the ''signature'' label would point to to
/pub/fedora/linux/releases/16/Live/i686/Fedora-16-i686-Live-CHECKSUM.
See [http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.redhat.fedora.devel/160387
fedora-devel maling list] for discussion.

#100: Fedoraproject.org banner (not being dynamic) problem

The amber(features & screenshot), green(downloads), pink?(community),
blue(using fedora) and purple(help) color banners at
fedoraproject.org are not big enough/don't automatically expand if the
(translated) string is more than one line. Text is lost when translation
can't be 'one line wide' due to local word length/syntax.
Suggested is 'it depends of your browser, probably because "em" font size
is used and not px' in combination with website design not being dynamic.

That would be better to have only one reference for the INTEL 32b arch.
Actually we have i686 and i363, depending on the release and/or build.
We need to check if we can't use only one reference, and see with the
releng why they name them differently for each release..
