I have some services found being activated by default that should be
removed for the following reasons:
1. sendmail: starts way too slow, is not usefull for any normal desktop
user I know. Making it usefull requires configuration so I assume
wohever uses that service _can_ activate it.
2. ip6tables: I do not know of any provider actually working with ipv6.
So I assume the mass of all users do not need it.
3. isdn: isdn requires configuration and thus should be set to start
when that config is actually done.
4. setroubleshootd: That service also takes long to boot, but its quite
usefull. I wonder if one could make auditd start setroubleshootd when
required - having two daemons working on base of the same informations
seems not very clever.
So, now go on and punsh me ;)
A couple of queries about the F10 Beta live CD and installing to HDD from it.
Firstly is it possible to enable ext4 from the LiveCD install?
Secondly on an eeePC 901 the partitioning tool layout is a bit messed
up. I took a screen shot of it to file as a bug and saved it to the
"USB Stick" which was the device from which I had booted the LiveCD
but it didn't seem to stick around when I put the stick into another
machine to log the bug.
Other than that it looks good.... but I knew that already :-)
This shouldn't be a rebuild the world kind of update, but 2.5.2 has
just built for rawhide and it isn't a trivial update (some of our
patches had to be altered etc.) ... so there's some room for weirdness,
so if you see anything please BZ etc.
For the impatient the koji build was:

as some of you have already noticed, fever spammed bugzilla a bit,
submitting notification about a new version of a package which has
been already submitted either long time ago or a few minutes before.
This was caused by a fundamental bug in fever's code which now should
be fixed; it's related to fever's new email address due to
inactiveness of the previous one.
I would like to strongly apologize everyone who needed to or will need
to clean the trash fever caused.
It should never happen again.
I've updated Zabbix in Rawhide to the recently released version 1.6.
It's a fairly significant upgrade so I'm going to wait a while before
pushing it to F-9, F-8, or EL-5.
"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then
I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the
terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve
them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and
unfairness of the universe."
