I think your right, I think we get into less trouble long term by
making this a policy fix instead of a psuedo technical fix. Unless we
can make a commitment all the way down the stack into the rpmdb to be
case insensitive for all package name operations, then we shouldn't
plaster over it by making yum install/remove case insensitive.
And besides, moving to all lowercase for package names mean that I can
finally navigate the bugzilla component pulldown menu reliably :->
Or turning the question on its head, is there anyone working on making
the syntax of yum searches more expressive so that I could do things
like requesting a case sensitive search?
