Hello everybody!
My name is Jefferson Campos, but you can call me "Jeff". I am
Brazilian, from Sorocaba, São Paulo (en:

is Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese) but, despite the simplicity, I
can speak in English too.
I started with computer when I was 8 years old (3 if count my
first video-game). My first computer was a "XT" (monitor:
background was black and foreground was green!) then I owned a 386
PC and then a 486. That was a good time! Now I own a modern
computer :D
When I was 16 years old I went to "technical high school" (we call
"escola técnica" in Brazil) and started study about IT. When I was
20 I went to college (Technologist, Computer Science). With 24 I
went to college again (Undergraduation, Mathematics).
I worked with programming (web programming and java) and mobile
phone programming too. I worked with GNU/Linux as system
administrator too. I have more experience with Debian-like system
(and Ubuntu too) but I want learn more about the "Red Hat GNU/Linux
tree". Today I work at Municipal City Hall of Sorocaba as system
analyst.
Curiosity: I have one tattoo of tux in my chest (left side)!

What other skills do you have that might be applicable? User
interface design, other so-called soft skills (people skills),
programming, etc.

Welcome to the Docs Project!
I'm glad to know you have such extensive experience with computers and
enthusiasm Linux---that's just what we need.
Have you thought about what you'd like to work on? Some people wait
for a while to learn how things work around here, but you can just as
easily get started now.
If you're not sure where to start, but you don't want to wait, I
recommend editing the wiki. We call this "wiki gardening." It's funny,
but a wiki page that definitely needs help is the "Docs Project tasks
for new contributors!"
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs_Project_content_tasks_for_new_contrib...
You could add the rest of the official Guides with a brief
description, links to the
fedorahosted.org web sites, and to the
profile pages of their maintainers. You would be helping future
contributors, and learning about what the Docs Project does at the
same time.
You can find many other pages that need help from this category page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Pages_that_need_love
And this one:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Wiki_gardening_tasks
And this one:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Wiki_Gardening_tasks
If you feel adventurous, look around for wiki pages that need help,
and add them to one of the categories above.
If you'd rather do something else, let us know, and we can help you
get started!
Christopher.
