I'd like to see if we can at least reach a consensus with the Desktop WG on the filesystem question before I vote +1 on this. Josh has said he's going to take another look at the situation.
I took a look. There was a lot of discussion, but I don't think we're going to reach consensus here. Workstation still eventually wants to default to btrfs. Switching to XFS now and then switching to btrfs for the next release (or the one after) seems like fairly pointless churn to most people. Workstation is most likely going to remain on ext4 for the first release.
