I'm using WOL in my home setup, apart from enabling PCIe devices wake up in a BIOS, I'm setting following for the connection:
nmcli c modify <connection name> 802-3-ethernet.wake-on-lan magic
This unfortunately sometimes get reset with a kernel update, but lately working without re-applying it.
Thanks. I may try that. I'd like to be able to check if WOL is already enabled, but maybe the Arch doc already cited by another responder can tell me that.
Wake-on-lan has been working for me. The Arch docs mention a systemd package, but I only needed the wol client package.
AFAIK the wol client is for sending magic packets, not receiving them.
