Well I tried to update udev but yum said nothing to update. Should I look elsewhere?
You can look at koji website also. get the latest udev from http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=36

Or you can Have A little more patience or do the following as Andy which BTW suggested the fix # yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update udev

I feel inadequate to test udev, I can just spell it. That said I rather think it possible that udev is the cause of my problems with using my sound card. So I will read the man pages and see. I think there is a udevd that runs all the time.
