On my F9 system, ICQ was not working from Pidgin. This version from koji fixed that.
My kids use old versions of LICQ and GAIM and have not (yet) been hit by the problem. I wonder why.

Btw, update for pidgin is now available accross F8 repos along with update for libpurple
