Hello
I'm having strange problems, kernel oopses many times in a day, it used to be stable but after yum update (Oct 20) it started to oops.
Four recorded oopses attached.
If this some known problem of is this just me?
Best Regards Kimmo Koivisto
So this started with the 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 kernel? Have you tried the latest FC5 kernel?

How were these logs obtained?
I have had 2 problems lately where I wanted to get logs like this and don't know how. So far my attempts to get help with this have been unanswered except for one reply that seemed to agree with the problem of how to get them.
In one case I get a panic halt while trying to boot. Boot.log is empty. I haven't been able to find any other log that has the information.
In the other case, I was trying to install FC6. If I try to add a repo or choose the extras repo, I get a crash. It tells me that it is probably a bug, to save the crash info, and to file a BZ report. How do I do this? I can select the data and click on copy but after that any action justs results in a system reboot.
I really would like to learn how to capture the data from these crashes and save it.

I use a laptop (running hyperterminal or minicom) connected by null modem cable to the crashed machine's serial port.
