I am trying to install the rpm for the new GIMP 2.0 and get an error message saying that I require libexif.so.9 . Try as I might I can't find a Fedora 1 version of this anywhere. Any ideas?
Thanks.

$ rpm -qf `locate libexif.so.9` libexif-0.5.12-2.fr

I tried that and go the follow error message:
error: file libexif-0.5.12-2.fr: No such file or directory
My search was on the Internet not on my system. I had always presumed I did not have the file and I guess this error message confirms that. I was wondering whether it was part of the file "libexif" which I have found, downloaded and tried to install.

It is in the freshrpms.net repository:
http://yarrow.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=143
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/RPMS.stable/libexif-0.5.12-0.... as part of fedora.us

Did that and got the message "error: file libexif-0.5.12-2.fr: No such file or directory"
Als tried it in root and got the same result.
I presume that means this file is currently not in my directory. Is libexif.so.9 part of the libexif file or something completly separate?

Was that now an error reposting of the previous reply?
If not, what exactly did you do to install the RPMs?
