Hello
I have one question
Why Fedora installer with everything turned off installs the following package: reiserfs-utils or hesiod or ....
When I turn off everything I need a system that is minimal (knows how to boot and find devices)
This is the freedom of Gentoo.
I would be very happy to apply this word to Fedora in this situation. Of course I can remove all the unnecessary packages but why should I bother myself finding those packages?
I would be glad to hear your comments about that. Maybe in Fedora Core 2 we will have the ability to install truely minimal system.
Thank you

There has already been a major discussion about having a minimal install actually be minimal..
For those type of installs I use Trustix Secure Linux (http://www.trustix.net).. The minimum install is about 90MB..
Later..

Hi all,
Fedora is fine running for me, but one problem is still open for me - VMWare. I'm trying to install last version of it.
export CC=gcc32 vmware-config.pl ... and do still have got many errors about wrong headers.

#cp /usr/bin/gcc gcc.orig #cp -f /usr/bin/gcc32 /usr/bin/gcc #vmware-config.pl #cp -f /usr/bin/gcc.orig /usr/bin/gcc
it also works with Nvidia drivers
enjoy

C'mon, I think 'export CC=gcc32' is absolutely same thing.
it also works with Nvidia drivers
My nvidia drivers compiled very well for me, but VMWare didn't.
enjoy

yes, it should work but "export CC=gcc32" did not work for me.
