OpenSSH vulnerability

See http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9595_22-303182.html Apparently all versions under 5.2 (released back in February 23rd) are vulnerable. OpenSSH is at 5.1p1-3.fc10 in the Fedora repos. Don't see 5.2 even in updates-testing. When will it become available?

Viewing tabs in an editor in fedora 10

Hello, I am looking for viewing tabs in an editor in fedora 10. I know that this can be done with vim and vi (with :set list). (If I remember correctly, also with emacs). However, I tried to achieve this task with other editors (like jedit/gedit/kate) and could not. Any ideas if it is possible with other editors than vi/vim/emacs ? Rgs, Mark

deltaisos for F11?

Are there any plans for deltaisos for F10->F11 to be available at release time? The size for each diso will probably be about half that of the corresponding full F11 ISO. Torrents would be nice, but aren't really practical for slow connections since low upload speed makes seeding difficult. Direct download would be preferable. Jonathan Dieter put a diso for 32-bit beta->preview on his presto server, but I suspect the greater size and demand for a F10->F11 diso would kill his bandwidth quota.

How to recover data from a defective CDROM

My computer is no longer able to read a CDROM with some fairly valuable data. I have been able to read this CDROM successfully in the past. Using Philips GoGear on Fedora

Hello all, I just bought a Philips GoGear 8 Gb. I chose this mostly because it is free of DRM stuff. That is one of the things Philips emphasises on for the GoGear range of media players. To play my mp3's all I need to do is drag and drop them to the player which is mounted as a regular USB drive. Everything is awesome except that the player can't read the tags although the manual says it supports both ID3v1 and v2. I use Picard to tag my mp3's and they show up just fine in rhythmbox. As for video, it needs to be converted to .smv (Simgatel mobile video, I think) before the player can play them. So I figured I might need to use something like opengear[1] or golb[2] (GoGear On Linux Boxes) to do the file transfers and video conversion, but these projects seem to have been abandoned. Moreover I wasn't able to compile the source code from the golb tarball as there was no configure script or makefile. I have tried running the manufacturer provided software on wine, but that is a no go. Does anyone have any experience with these players? Thanks in advance. KDE4: Monitor goes blank when entering Systems Settings>Display

I have a Dell D610 with an external display Sceptre 24". In Gnome I am able to set this display to 1920x1200 with no problems. In KDE it defaults to approx 1200x768 and when I go to Systems Settings>Display the monitor goes blank. Restarting X gets me my monitor back Sam
