google chrome 20 / flash player / full screen
by Kernel Guardian
After last google chrome update I have problem to display any flash
contents in full screen mode. After investigation in chrome://plugins I
find 2 plugins under flash. One is from google installation directory
PaperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so and second one is in
flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so.
Verisions are:
libpepflashplayer.so - 11.3.31.109
libflashplayer.so - 11.2 r202
For now only solution I found is to disable PepperFlash from chrome and
leave flash-plugin enabled.
Fortunately Firefox is not affected with google PepperFlush bug.

F17, power switch offers no choices??
by Fred Smith
I haven't used Fedora on my netbook since F14, I used Centos 6 in that
interim.
however, both centos 6 and fedora (back when I used it) allowd one to
press the netbook's power switch, while logged in, and got a dialog
offering choices like shutdown, log off, standby, hibernate.
how, on F17 though, it just does a shutdown, depending on which
desktop/session I'm in. (in gnome it seems to just go to standby mode,
while in lxde or xfce (or MATE, which I've installed) it just shuts down.
I assume this is an artifact of systemd, but have no clue how to hack
it to make it once again offer the choices.
thanks!
Fred

Fail to start bacula director with systemctl.
by Erik P. Olsen
When migrating to fedora 16 (from 14) I have to start bacula using systemctl. It
works fine with the client and storage daemons but the director service fails.
systemctl status bacula-<daemon> shows:
[root@epohost ~]# systemctl status bacula-dir.service

Can somebody decipher what is wrong or perhaps suggest a way to diagnose the
problem? Starting bacula-dir manually works fine. Maybe this is for the bacula
community to answer but I've started here since it may a failure in the rpm package.

Cannot find valid baseurl for rpmfusion repo
by Mark Haney
I've googled this a couple of times, but can't seem to find a straight
answer on this problem. I installed the rpmfusion repos both with the
GUI and from the CLI and I get this same problem, 'Cannot find valid
baseurl'.
Any ideas?

k3b and create image
by JD
I used k3b to copy the image of an audio cd.
It produced files like
Track01.wav
....
Track16.wav
and it also produced a file simply with the title of the audio cd,
and without extensions and it is 803066400 bytes large.
Running
$ file 'Into The Unknown'
Into The Unknown: data
The file is quite larger than the 704MB max (with overburn)
that a CD can hold. This file is 100MB larger than that.
So, how can I use this file? I was hoping it would be in
a format that could be used by any of the plethora of
media players in linux.
mplayer failed to open it.

Chill. The reference itself was not to Wikipedia, though it would be
explained by Wikipedia, and members of an English-language mailing
list may be presumed to understand an English-language version of
Wikipedia.
Further, the referent enjoyed attention through-out Europe.
There's no persuasive reason for you to make this ugly.

If one laughs at the reference, one gives the appearance of being
