And only seven votes? Are they serious?
I didn't realize they'd only gotten seven votes (presumably of the maintainers who advocate systemd). I do understand that quorum rules need to be loose enough to allow anything at all to get done.
But this seems *too* loose.
It seemed to be only seven from other messages in the thread and some pages I found searching. Perhaps they have some committee which is supposed to decide things like this and which happens to have seven members.
It remains to be seen if they have a way to do a sane conversion from whatever init system users are using now to systemd during a distribution upgrade. Maybe they don't need one for a while ago, Debian has made a decision, be it an unconscious one or not, to break things when it suits them. I only have it because I couldn't get xen to work with centos and it works with Debian.
