If he did install it outside of Fedora, wouldn't it be better to
uninstall it and install the Fedora version? That way he would get
regular updates along with the rest of his packages.
Yeah, I made the assumption that he already had the package installed,
and this was cruft in his settings from the past direct installation.
Better to be safe and ensure that he is using the Fedora package by
following your advice.
