Is my command wrong, that's what the rpm shows as a missing dependency so I just try to yum install that?
Yes, it's wrong.;-)
This appears to be an exceptional case, I've done this many times and yum has always provided the 64 bit file or at least a file that works. Is there some way to know this before simply doing yum install and seeing the result? Obviously yum whatprovides gives the required information but since this has rarely been a problem I will probably not do it unless I have trouble ,,,
