As I said in the original message, same happens after restarting cups
and doing "ls -l | lpr" just to stimulate the printer.

Right now nothing, it's freezed period. It looks like whatever
happened when it came to that page 4 left it blocked. Either it broke
physically or something messed up CUPS filters.

cups has excellent logging options...
/etc/cups/cupsd.conf
edit it and change log level
