Well, so I only need to install libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3, and I found it as compat-libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 on the ftp server:
ftp://ftp.join.uni-muenster.de/pub/linux/distributions/fedora/linux/core/2/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/
But again: rpm -i --test ... -> segmentation fault?
What does the output from the 'segmentation fault' look like?
It seems you are on FC2? From the repo URL?
Are there any ideas, perhaps that it is forbidden to use JAVA on fedora?
It definitely can install, this FC4 box has it
# rpm -q jre jre-1.5.0_04-fcs
