I know that. Which is why I asked the OP if they really wanted two installations. Given that they are a beginning user, it seemed unlikely.
/boot/efi is indeed mounted on Fedora, basically so it can be modified, and I should have remembered that. Nevertheless, its function is as a partition which can be booted from the BIOS, i.e. it's not a directory within the ext4 (or whatever) Linux filesystem.
