I've been using scanimage for years with an HP3055 MFP which is network attached. Suddenly, it stopped working at --resolution=1200. The only thing I can remember upgrading was/is the kernel, but even going back to the 3.7.3-101.fc17 kernel and downgrading everything does not help.
Most intrigueingly, scanning works at resolution=600. Some details:
scanimage -d$hpaio -A
All options specific to device `hpaio:/net/HP_LaserJet_3055?ip=192.168.1.12': Scan mode: --mode Lineart|Gray|Color [Color] Selects the scan mode (e.g., lineart, monochrome, or color). --resolution 75|100|150|200|300|600|1200dpi [75] Sets the resolution of the scanned image.
But scanning results in this: Scanning 1 pages, incrementing by 1, numbering from 701 Scanning page 701 scanimage: sane_read: Error during device I/O Scanned page 701. (scanner status = 9)
And the MFP hangs in a perpetual'Cancelling Scan'.
And this used to work. I have 700 pages already scanned at 1200 dpi...
Anyone have any ideas on how to debug this?
