Is there a KDE equivalent?
Open Dolphin, choose menu View -> Panels -> Places (or press F9). A
"places"
panel opens up on the left side of the window. From there, browse Network ->
Samba Shares -> your workgroup -> your Windows machine.
It should Just Work. At least it does for me.
