Hi all,
i installed FC4 a long time ago and it run fine with SMP-kernel ("original" kernel from install-cd).
after the first kernel update i never was able to boot SMP! (also with recent kernels). i tried to recreate initrd manually but with no success...
any idea what i can do ??
thanks, chris
What do you get when you try booting? Error code? Opps message?
BTW, are you using the latest mother-board BIOS?

Hi Gilboa,
funny things are happening somtimes.... :-))
as i tried now to write down the kernel-panic messages i tried again to reboot to SMP and..... it worked (this time without recreating the initrd after the last kernel-update).
so i think there must be some changes in actual kernel (2.6.15-1.1831_FC4smp) which solved my problems!!!
thanks for your help, chris
