Hi all!
I have got some lectures downloaded from a University. They are all rar files. Upon extracting them, I got .VCR files. How to play them ? When I contacted them, they said extract the files using unrar (which I did), and then use Java Participant Application to play them. They suggest AT&T Participant application for Windows platform.
I would try mplayer and/or ffmpeg for this, using the "bad" codecs from livna repository. Seems to me I've seen this, but I don't remember the details.

How do I install emacs to Fedora9?
# yum install emacs
or is there another recommended editor?
There is vi, it might be installed by default.
You may also have kedit if you use KDE, or gedit if you use GNOME. You have
many choices.
one other thing, I like the C formatting style:
if( x ) [ tab ]{ [ tab ]x = y ; [ tab ]y = z ; [ tab ]while( 1 ) [ tab ][ tab ]{ [ tab ][ tab ]printf( "?" ) ; [ tab ][ tab ]} [ tab ]}
where { and } are in the same column, and each level of nesting
is another [ tab ]
the code between 2 { and } chars is in the same column as the { and }
with Fedora 3 I couldnt find how to get that on emacs,
is there a way to get that formatting with emacs (which I havent yet gotten installed
on Fedora 9) ?
If you install emacs, then you would have to play around with it so that it
can do what you want. I have used it sparingly. I prefer to use kedit or gedit as they are easier to work with. I have used vi a little bit more, but I am not an expert :(

Dear All,
I am running XFCE on F9, and I would like to know how to allow two different users to login on my machine at the same time. On F8, I remember a menu entry
System --> New Login
but I cannot find it on F9.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
I'm not sure I understand the problem... You have a user coming in (over network?) and they can't login? Or what?
If you just wan't a session as another user, you use "xterm -e su - USER2" &

Not really a direct answer (I'd wish I were a LiveCD/USB expert to help out), but maybe these questions are better targeted at the real experts gathered at fedora-livecd-list? See
http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-livecd-list
Some are certainly on this list, but your questions may get lost here in the higher volume list. -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net
Thanks, I didn't even know there was one just for the livecd...
