It doesn't seem to work for me, despite what

Flash says: it always tries to talk to the sound card directly, even with
alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.
Here's my /etc/asound.conf:

I have no .asoundrc

Did you try installing "libflashsupport"? That used to do it (I
don't
know if it still does).
