You are correct in that they didn't redefine anything. They're
trying to point out that kilo = kilo (10^3), and kibi = 2^10. What I
meant with redefining is, what people *think* a kilo is when it comes
to
computer terms. Wrong choice of words.
One note. Disk sizes unlike RAM sizes do not have to be powers of 2.
