I am indeed using the COPR repository for qgis as that was the required methodology for
Fedora. I have tried the dnf upgrade this morning and
there is an updated version of qgis (3.14.0) that has rectified the issue.

you have decided to use a different repository with a "beta" version. If you
have issues with the older
version, like a missing feature, that would be a reason to use it. If you can live with
the older version
in the Fedora repository you should switch to using it.
