What problem are you having? cdfs appears to work fine for me.
$ uname -r 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl

I managed to get cdfs-2.6.3 to work for me. 2.4.20 didn't really work. if the 2.4 or 2.6 is anything to go by, by that they reference the kernel used, then _no_wonder_ I'm using 2.6.3 kernel
