Rather than "df", use "stat":
stat /nas
(That should have been "stat -f". My mistake.)
In the output of "stat" you will see the block size of the filesystem,
and the block count. Either your server or the Linux client is probably
reporting a block size that is double the real block size. Total size
and free size are (block count * block size).
