I was asking about Samba 4 on the Samba list and got the following

uses Heimdal Kerberos libraries , while Fedora uses MIT kerberos
libraries, so you need to recompile Samba 4 from scratch will all the
appropriate dependencies. I have not done this. Samba 4 as an AD DC
includes its own LDAP server."
So what is the story? Does Fedora work for a Samba AD?
Though, at this point, I am looking very strongly at staying with an
NTDomain setup. I am getting strong recommendations for AD being a
separate system from the file server, and I only want one system.
I have used Samba4 with an AD network. Not that much due to the way our
network is managed.
