Hi,
The CHinese characters work well at my mozilla. I did not done any special setting. I think, it is important that you have included all Chinese Fonts during your linux installation.
For your information, I have follow script for using Sylpheed mailer on FC2
Locale languge setting:
# .langrc
LANG=zh_CN.GB18030 export LANG
Mailler script:
#!/bin/bash source $HOME/.langrc sylpheed &>/dev/null &
Good luck

I have tried that. I tried all chinese encodings,
including traditional one,
and still I cant see a valid char in china.cn.
That site is in UTF-8, so you need a locale that has a default font that includes Chinese characters in UTF-8. Try exiting mozilla and restarting it like this:
LC_ALL=zh_CN mozilla
Cheers, Paul.
