Don't get too upset :)
You said you finished installed it in text mode:
2) Did Text-based installation and installed everything and hoped
that I can somehow fix the X11/GUI later:
Then you can update FC4 using yum as root in the console, type:
yum check-update
You'll see the upgradable packages, Then you can select the packages you want
to update (in this case X11 related):
yum update packagename1 packagename2
Pls let us know the result.
Shouldn't Daniel be booting to single user mode by adding a 1 or 3 or
something to the grub boot line to enable him to boot from the hard
drive in text mode to do the updates with yum?
