OK, then, run
yum -y install
xorg-x11-server-utils
xorg-x11-server-common
then log out and log back in.
Not sure if this will help recognize your touchpad :(
The command output reads that both programs were already installed and
in their latest versions.
It's not a matter of recognition. It's just that when I draw my finger
across the touch pad, the pointer moves not more than one centimeter.
