I don't think so. But I'm now curious; I'll grab a Debian or Devuan
ISO later and test myhostname in a VM.
Oh, a big clue is in the man page.
resolvectl may be used to resolve domain names, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses,
DNS resource records and services with the systemd-resolved.service(8)
