That produces a 75 page pdf and sending a copy is a problem since I don't

Probably only the last few lines would be enough to get a clue.
Also dmesg produces nothing but a similar list of garbage on this F27 and the same
on an Fedora 28 box but I've been saving that problem for later.
I believe both lshw and dmesg work as expected on the Fedora 27 server which has
not been updated for a few days if that has any bearing on my problems.
All of this is moot anyway since what I really wanted was physical serial numbers
so I could identify the drives, both the same model ... smartctl was the command I
needed.
Well, just hope that whatever is causing lshw to segfault isn't causing
problems
elsewhere.
