Hi,
I did a mistake installing a program:
in the graphic interface of YUM were listed about 200 programs.
I selected one of then to install it; but when I started the installation (clicking the button “apply”) all the listed programs begun to be installed (???).
After some time the screen went in command line (black) and it was shoved :
Booting Fedora (3.17.2-200.fc20x86-64) 20 Heisenbug
[ 2.150 420] noveau E[DISPLAY] 0000:01:00.0] 01:0130:func 08 lookup failed ..

After this has not been written nothing …
I would ask if I can try to recover the old installation...
Actually I can open this computer only in console mode
Thank you
Regards
Angelo

Do this as root:
yum history undo last
That should completely reverse what happened and get you back to where you were.
thank you Zoe,
I did it...
But this did not solved the problem...
.... I continue to get only the prompt to the command line and cannot change access type using <control><alt> <F1>
Regards
Angelo

This usually works for me. But it doesn't always work.

Couple of things....
1. You didn't mention what package you were trying to update. What is it?
2. Sounds like you are getting a text mode login prompt and are able to login. This would seem to indicate that the graphics login is failing to initialize. What is the output of "grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log"
I tried to install the hebrew keyboard, but (I think) this really doesn't very much matter, because the application that I used for making the installation, really installed about 200 programs, that I didn't (??) selected :-(.
the output of "grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log" is:
(WW) warning (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown. [ 24. 401] initializing built-in extension MIT SCREEN-SAVER [ 24. 404] failed to load module "nv" (module does not exist, 0) [ 6431. 415]Server terminated successfulllly (0). Closing log file ]

Are you saying that you still boot to a CLI?
I beg excuse me .. -------- yes I whem I boot I get this prompt:
Fedora release 0 (Hisenbug) Kernel 3.17.2-200 .... nome_of_computer login :
there I can login as a normal regitered user or as root ... (giving the correct password)..
----- I also was been able take a look at log file that recorded what happened at the time of the error.
they are some things that I saw there :
localhost systemd-udevd[284]: invalid keyvalue pair in file /udev/rules.d/99-99. resume.rules on line 1 starting at character 178('I') localhost systemd[1] failed to add job sys-kernelconfig.mount/start, ignoring: invalid argument
If you ask me, I can check for some other sensitive informations that you think is good to know ....
