Bind

[linuxserver]

Hello, I am trying to use the GUI DNS configuration tool and it says it
updates the named.conf file, but when I look at the named.conf in etc it
is not updated.  Any one know what I am missing

Check /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf

Thanks it is there, but does that mean that is the named.conf the system
is using because it does not have all the configs that the one in etc
has

Check whether you have bind-chroot-9.2.2.P3-9 installed and what
/etc/sysconfig/named contains.

Read the documentation.

Hopefully it is updating the "chrooted" file in 
/var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf. So should you. :-)
