Hi all I want to install software by checkinstall,after ./configure and make,then i change to root and typed checkinstall,however the bash said it could not find the command.what's the problem,and what should i do?

1. Do you have checkinstall installed? 2. Are you running it as superuser or root?

Try giving the full path to checkinstall - problably /usr/bin/checkinstall
