I'm trying to get my server to correctly assign me my fixed ip address when I connect up via wired or wireless. I thought I could specify multiple hardware ethernet listings in my host section, but that doesn't seem to be working. How can I get my server to dish out my fixed address on two interfaces? Bear in mind that I realize I can only use one at a time. Thanks.

Just add the following entry to your dhcpd.conf: host <Machine hostname> { hardware ethernet <Machine MAC address>; fixed-address <Machine IP address>; }

Actually, what I want is my host to be the same, and have it dish out my ip on either macaddress. I thought I could specify multiple macs in the hardware ethernet lines, but that doesn't seem to work. host falcon { hardware ethernet 11:11:11:11:11:11; hardware ethernet 22:22:22:22:22:22; fixed-address 10.10.10.7 http://10.10.10.7; } is this correct, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

No answer for you, but you might want to check the ISC dhcp-server mailing list archives. Lots of expertise there.
As far as I know, only one MAC address can be placed per entry. I may be wrong though. Check the dhcp man page... maybe you'll get some insight.
