After loading the correct drivers and starting Anaconda, the process stalls. In the case of the X-based process, I have the X cursor, which moves with the mouse. On a text install, just a blue screen.
The DVD has passed mediacheck. The system config (which runs FC4) includes a dual-Opteron 240 AccelerTech 2082 MB, lots of mem, dual SATA disks with a Promise controller and no RAID enabled. All non-essential devices have been disconnected.
Any suggestions before I submit this to Bugzilla?

You fail to state what graphics adaptor you are using. A new kernel and driver(s) for Nvidia and ATI graphics cards are in the works.

The graphics adapter is an Nvidia FX1000. I'm assuming that the X configuration process will use the nv driver, which is what I generally use. However, because the text-based install fails at the same point, I'm assuming that the X configuration process is not an issue. Additionally, I note that the X server appears to be operational.

If the text install does not work, that seems to me well worth a bugzilla. I doubt if many people will have tested it.
As a matter of interest, have you tried Knoppix on your computer?

I've run Knoppix from the CD, and installed Core 4 from the DVD.

Have you tried looking at the other virtual consoles (Alt-F2, Alt-F3, etc.) to see if there's anything useful?

Hmmmm ... interesting. Alt-Fn (n = 1, 2, 3, ...) results in no change. Ctrl-Alt-Del kills the X server, and we see these messages:
... X-server started successfully Starting graphical installation Application mini-wm lost its connection to display :1.0: ...
Thanks.

In X, of course, you'd need to use Ctrl-Alt-Fn to switch virtual consoles.
