Hi there,
This is a simple question, but I cannot figure it out. I have downloaded all 3 ISO files to my computer. I've created my bootdisk. Now I want to create the CDs required to install Linux onto a computer. But I cannot figure this out.
I realize the ISO images have to be created in a different format than data or audio. Do I need a special program for this? I am using Win2K, and want to install Linux on an x86 compatible computer. Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks a million, Mike

What cd burning software are you using? I have burned the iso's just fine on a xp machine with Nero loaded on it.

Quick down and dirty way to do it. Use NERO if you have it, or Roxio EZ CD Creator and tell it to Create CD from Image. Find the ISO's and burn them to CD. Any more specific questions, ask me off list. I do this all the time for friends of mine.

IIRC, doubel clicking on the .iso file in Windows, fires up EZ CD Creator all setup and ready to burn the iso correctly to CD.

I'm not at all familiar with Windows CD burning software, but you should be able to use whatever software you currently use to burn CDs and tell it to simply burn the ISO image straight to the CD (not as a file, but as a CD image).
I use Roxio, you should be able to download it, google up "Roxio"

I've never seen a free trial of Roxio, but Nero burning ROM does have a 30 day trial. Just install it and double click or right click the .iso icon (if that doesn't work youll have to find the burn from image menu item.
