Comment (by soulspecter):
one more note about section 4.1. For the boot from DVD media the boot menu
that I see does not include the option to use "text mode." I don't know if
this might be in the final release, but my testing (on i386 platform) with
F10 Beta doesn't include that option - id does include the other options
thought.

Release Notes POT
by Paul W. Frields
The release notes POT is (finally!) updated in the git repo. Thank you
to Jared Smith for all his help. There was a lingering bug in xml2po
that is fixed in Rawhide, and Jared had a Rawhide box available to help
with this task.
Do we need to notify Fedora L10n whenever we drop new POT like this? Or
will Transifex automatically record the change? When I look at:
http://translate.fedoraproject.org/module/docs-release-notes
It appears that Transifex understands the POT change, but has incorrect
statistics listed on the page.

Comment (by soulspecter):
In section 4.4, according to
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats/Installer#Installation_media],
we might need to make note that:
"Multiple NICs and PXE installation
Some servers with multiple network interfaces may not assign eth0 to the
first network interface as BIOS knows it, which can cause the installer to
try using a different network interface than was used by PXE. To change
this behavior, use the following in pxelinux.cfg/* config files:
IPAPPEND 2
APPEND ksdevice=bootif
The configuration options above causes the installer to use the same
network interface as BIOS and PXE use. You can also use the following
option:
ksdevice=link
This option causes the installer to use the first network device it finds
that is linked to a network switch."
The attached XML file has this change.

Comment (by soulspecter):
In section 4.1 there is a change in the boot screen. We should note that:
"When using Fedora Live media, press any key during the initial boot
countdown to bring up the Boot Options menu. The boot options include:"
In section 4.3 we should probably make note that:
"BitTorrent Automatically Verifies File Integrity
If you use BitTorrent, any files you download are automatically validated.
If your file completes downloading you do not need to check it. Once you
burn your CD or DVD, however, during the installation you should still use
mediacheck to verify the integrity of the media."
In section 4.5 the following should at least be added to the begining if
not replace the current bullet points:
"Fedora 10 supports graphical FTP and HTTP installations. However, the
installer image must either fit in RAM or appear on local storage, such as
the installation DVD or Live Media. Therefore, only systems with more than
192MB of RAM or that boot from the installation DVD or Live Media can use
the graphical installer. Systems with 192MB RAM or less automatically
scale back to using the text-based installer. If you prefer to use the
text-based installer, type linux text at the boot: prompt."
