I need the repository for my friends in college hostel where the proxy server(squid of course) limits external downloads to 25 MB. We're going to ask our college admin to provide an internal mirror for the 50 odd Fedora 11 users. I helped them install but updates are tough with this policy. Thanks. Regards, Salva

Fedora Sticker for laptop?

I know this is off topic, but I'm not sure where to ask this: I bought a new laptop without any OS and installed Leonidas straight away. It works perfectly (better than openSUSE/Ubuntu on same model!) and my dad will be using it. He wants a sticker to put on it indicating it runs Fedora 11. Is there a way to get a few stickers? Hi, Just to keep people updated on the Fedora related work being done by my fellow team members Kushal Das is working on https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugzilla_Desktop_Client The end result is that we now have a command line text interface to bugzilla that allows users to easily submit bug reports for Fedora. Next up is a desktop client Shreyank G (shrink in #fedora-india) https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Remixes_Web_Interface PJP is working on a fork of djbdns at https://fedorahosted.org/djbdns/. i am using fedora11,i am not able to install anything through terminal using yum command i always get an error like,even yum update also not working. error message: Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit updates/metalink | 12 kB 00:04 updates | 4.4 kB 00:00 Setting up Install Process No package figlet available. LAMP Day in Mepco Powered by Fedora11

Hi, I am Arun SAG. A new member to the list. We have conducted a one day LAMP workshop on 19th August, at Mepco Schlenk Engineering college, Sivakasi, TamilNadu for the Final year students.The session started with fundamental web technology and ended up exploring PHP,Perl python with MySQL. There were totally 120 participants from both the classes including the CSE and IT. I helped the trainers, by setting up the lab with 60+ Fedora 11 boxes and assisting participants in hands on. [Event Report] ACE College of Engineering, Ankushapur, Ghatkesar, India

Hi, Today, I conducted a Fedora workshop at ACE College of Engineering [1], Ankushapur, Ghatkesar Mandal [2], Ranga Reddy District, Andhra Pradesh, India. I have addressed "i-want-2-do-project. tell-me-wat-2-do-fedora", "Packaging RPM", "Badam Halwa of Embedded Systems" presentations [3]. The attendees were Computer Science and Information Technology Department students, and faculty. I would like to thank Mrs. K. Jaya Bharathi, Head of the Computer Science Department, for coordinating with me for the past one month in organizing this workshop. They don't yet have a Fedora Lab. I have provided them with Fedora 10, 11 repositories for their offline use (53 GB). I have also given them Fedora 10, 11 DVDs. They are interested in a MoU between Fedora project and their college. Do we have anything similar along these lines? Ghatkesar is 25 km from Hyderabad, and one hour drive from Hyderabad through NH-7 [4].
