I recently installed fedora in our EE HOD (prof. SM) computer and We
are having the following problem.
I have connected the computer through local mirror and everything gets
downloaded, dependencies resolved. It just cannot install the
package.

Fedora Freemedia India, A plan.
by susmit shannigrahi
Hi,
There are a lot of requests for fedora freemedia.
What I did last month for kolkata was I provided a few DVDs to
Dipanjan and asked people to collect personally.
Of the 19 requests we got, only 5 collected personally.
After tomorrow, I am going to flag them invalid. The current system is
such that even if they request DVD next month, they will be flagged as
duplicate.
What we can do is to make it compulsory to collect the DVD personally
if there is an ambassador in locality.
I guess this way, we may cut down the "I-request-whatever-I-get-free" people.
Your thoughts?

How many ...
by sankarshan
I was wondering, somewhat idly I must admit, about the numbers amongst us:
- who are now on Rawhide
- who use the local language desktop
- who, during install fests and the like mention and demonstrate the
local language desktop
- who know about Transifex and related pieces of the Fedora L10n
infrastructure to talk about it
- who follow the QA Days off the Fedora Planet and, are keen to get involved
Any numbers/responses ?
