Update of rpmfusion-* on F16-x86_64 is confusing or lost.
by Lucélio Gomes de Freitas
Hi friends,
Ref: Linux Fedora 3.1.1-2.fc16.x86_64 (installed and working aparentely
100%)
Verifying new atualizations on KDE environment(F16-x86_64),
I got a window asking to update:
1st> rpmfusion-free-release - RPM Fusion(free) Repository Configuration
16-1.2
2nd> rpmfusion-nonfree-release - RPM Fusion(nonfree) Repository
Configuration 16-1.1
I clicked "apply". The task started and suddenly after showing the
signing window of rpmfusion-free, appeared asking: "Do you trust the
source of the packages? Replying "yes" the task get to a
sleeping/hibernating position and only stops when I cancell it.
I did all(f16-x86_64) installation from scratch.
I found the sign, on the specifyed
URL(/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-16-x86_64).
I can't get free from these two atualizations.
Somebody please help.
Thx,

panic at boot
by Emilio Lopez
Hello!
I just started fedora 16, and I get a panic message before kde starts.
I did a hard reboot (laptop power button pushed for a while) and there
are no problems.
I think a boot.log should exists, and this information should be
useful to develop team. Where is that file, and where should I send
it?
Thanks.
Emilio.

statically-built qemu-[arch] on Fedora
by Mr Dash Four
Is it possible to get/compile/build static qemu-[arch] similar to the qemu-user-static in Debian?
I am making use of binfmt_misc and need to execute statically built qemu-[arch]. Using the "standard" qemu-[arch] won't work because I am executing this in a chrooted environment where all the libraries qemu needs to link to are outside of the chroot.
I tried to use the qemu source rpm in order to build it (using the --static ./configure option), but unfortunately I can't do it - the .spec file is created in such a way that it cannot be easily adapted for building statically linked qemu executables. Any help with this would be much appreciated, thanks!

abrt isn't catching crashes
by Michael Cronenworth
I have a Gnome Shell bug[1] that I noticed was not being caught by abrt
so I tried to purposely crash other Fedora apps. They are not being
caught either. The abrt GUI doesn't seem to have any on/off switch and I
know I have not purposely disabled it (and it is running in the
background). Any ideas on why abrt isn't working?

test local rpm file in place for consistency, size, etc.
by Skunk Worx
I have a set of .rpm files restored from backups.
They have nothing to do with my current install except they are in the
file system.
Is there a command that will sweep these (several hundred) .rpm files
and test their internal values against the file itself, in place, to
check for any problems with size / consistency / corruption?
TIA,
John

Can't install nvidia drivers
by Lawrence E Graves
They nvidia drivers are fine. This is the error message received after
attempting to install them.
iwl4965 0000:0c:00.0: Aggregation not enabled for tid 0 because load =
1. What ever this means is the problem I am having with the install.
Solve this mystery and the installation will go smooth.

'avc denied'
by Jackson Byers
# uname -r

I haven't paid much attention to avc warnings.
did /.autorelabel, reboot, to see if that could stop avc.
Still see

I have put only minimal effort into learning selinux syntax, methods.
Overwhelming, to me.
are there simple rules on how to respond to 'avc denied'?
If I do nothing?
