That said you can create a desktop file yourself and put it in
~/.local/share/applications. Something like this should do:

Comment=from ImageMagick
Exec=display
Terminal=false

thanks! I just used the add desktop launcher, entered display as
Exec..
worked!
I just came from Debian, and there was an Imagemagick menu item in
graphics.. that's why I was wondering.
