You need to say which desktop environment you have, because the
details
differ, but generally look under Power Management or similar for the
configuration options.
I have Gnome 44.4 and the Windowing System is Wayland
In Settings -> Power I have
Dim Screen is enabled
Screen Blank set to 5 minutes
Automatic Power Saver is enabled
Automatic Suspend is set to When on battery power
