This is for my Intel graphics card in a laptop:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096
LVDS1 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 304mm x
228mm
1024x768 60.0*+
800x600 60.3 56.2
640x480 59.9
VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
TV1 unknown connection (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
1024x768 60.0
800x600 60.3
640x480 59.9
$ man xrandr
I was able to set the correct display by using wrandr
--newmode and -addmode
but is only work for the present session, then the mode that I
added is gone.
I tried to mode the mode in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, but it does not work.
It is probably due to the cancel out of the mode that I created.
I get a could not apply the stored configuration for monitor.
In addition in fc14, there is not display setting work ! bug !
How can I make keep the new mode written ?
Thank;
Make sure you have LVDS1 connected and others (VGA, TV, etc)
disconnected.
